Independence Day

Hello There! Today is an important holiday in the USA.

The Fourth of July, often known as Independence Day, is a federal holiday in the United States that honors the occasion of the nation’s separation from Great Britain. The Declaration of Independence, which stated that the thirteen American colonies were no longer under British rule and were now free and independent states, was adopted by the Continental Congress on July 4th, 1776.

There are many different activities that are done to celebrate the Fourth of July, such as parades, fireworks, picnics, and barbecues! It is a great holiday there!

Additionally, a lot of people use American flags and other patriotic decorations to adorn their homes and neighborhoods.

On this day, Americans unite to commemorate their common history, ideals, and liberties.

The Americans are very proud of this day, and there are undoubtedly several excellent films that discuss it:

• Independence Day (1996): Independence Day (1996): In this popular sci-fi movie from director Roland Emmerich, an alien invasion of Earth occurs on July Fourth. In an effort to prevent the planet from being destroyed, a group of brave humanity come together.
• National Treasure (2004): Nicolas Cage plays a historian and treasure hunter who finds a clue to a hidden treasure on the back of the Declaration of Independence in this action movie directed by Jon Turteltaub. Before a group of baddies can obtain the document, Cage’s character must work against the clock to steal it and crack the encryption.
• The Patriot (2000): Mel Gibson plays a South Carolina farmer who becomes a leader in the struggle for freedom in this historical drama directed by Roland Emmerich and takes place during the American Revolution. The difficulties and sacrifices made by early Americans in the cause of freedom are shown in the movie.
• Born on the Fourth of July (1989): Ron Kovic, a Vietnam War veteran who later became an anti-war activist, wrote his autobiography that was used as a basis for Oliver Stone’s drama. The film follows Kovic’s transformation from a patriotic soldier to a disillusioned protester working for peace and justice.

Antes que um grupo de bandidos possa obter o documento, o personagem de Cage precisa trabalhar contra o relógio para roubá-lo e decifrar a criptografia.
• The Patriot (2000) – O Patriota – Mel Gibson interpreta um fazendeiro da Carolina do Sul que se torna um líder na luta pela liberdade nesse drama histórico dirigido por Roland Emmerich e que se passa durante a Revolução Americana. As dificuldades e os sacrifícios feitos pelos primeiros americanos na causa da liberdade são mostrados no filme.
• Born on the Fourth of July (1989) – Nascido em 4 de julho – Ron Kovic, um veterano da Guerra do Vietnã que mais tarde se tornou um ativista contra a guerra, escreveu sua autobiografia que foi usada como base para o drama de Oliver Stone. O filme acompanha a transformação de Kovic de um soldado patriótico em um manifestante desiludido que trabalha pela paz e pela justiça.
